Erasmus+ KA2 – Cooperación para la innovación y el intercambio de buenas prácticas.
School children / as – School Families is a project of the program Erasmus + cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practice in education European 30 – month developed by the City of Fuenlabrada (Madrid, Spain).
This is a new project developed in Fuenlabrada and Fermo and incorporates municipalities, schools, universities and non-profit organization, to explore non – formal education tools, complementary to formal education, with pupils at risk of exclusion and disadvantage and their families.
A society in which the changes are getting faster and reality is becoming more complex, requires special training parents to know how to be the main impact on the education of their children. Parent school is a meeting place where they can learn, reflect and develop their parenting skills effectively.
The project includes cross and integrated the following priorities:
The project prioritizes support to schools to address early school leaving and disadvantage and improve motivation for learning.
intensive work with families
intensive work with families in social skills in schools and in partner municipalities will be conducted, promoting healthy family relationships, encouraging the use of appropriate educational standards and providing spaces for reflection about the problems in the development of their children ( schools parents).
Is a priority the fight against exclusion, in line with the reality of the contexts in which the project and the creation of social ties will develop.
Motivation to learn
improving the skills of students at all levels, and especially the internalization of the contents and the vital importance of the need to learn is necessary. It is necessary to motivate children and do so from innovative pedagogies from art and the development of emotional intelligence will develop other forms of learning and relationship to improve their performance and develop their skills.
Another important priority of the project is to improve the skills of teachers with innovative methodologies that allow them to work with children and youth of the XXI century. We highly relevant this work using a methodology from art and emotional intelligence.
The project prioritizes joint work with children and families, and aims to boost schools parents, understanding that it is within these families and their environments where most of the circumstances giving rise to possible situations of exclusion lie .
The project will develop educational materials and resources multimedia of good practices and evaluation guidelines and methodology that will allow its use and implementation in the classroom.
The project is located in cities where it has detected a profile of students in the centers marked by situations that can lead to social exclusion: serious socio-economic and cultural difficulties of families , learning problems in students that lead to important curricular gaps.
