HI-STORY TELLING is an international project encouraged by the European Union, through the Erasmus + program, whose main objective is the development of a methodology that combines the potential of theatre with the teaching of History.
The project leader is ASTA – Associação de Teatro (Covilhã-Portugal), which has the partnership of two other non-governmental organizations: Associazione Nuovi Linguaggi (Italy), and TREINTA Y CUATRO EMOTIONAL PERFORMANCE (Spain).
The proposal is based on the recognition of the importance of learning and teaching History, and the recognition of Theatre as a powerful educational tool. The aim is to make young people aware of active citizenship and European values. For this, we propose the use of theatre as an instrument to foster the interest of young people, who attend high school, in matters of History and Cultural Heritage. All activities and products will be created with the aim of establishing useful tools for teachers and trainers, key players in the training process for new and future generations.
