Since 1979 years, Teatro Due Mondi runs a stable theatre research focusing in particular on street theatre being its mission is to bring theatre where it is especially needed: suburbs, orphanages, socially disadvantaged areas, streets and squares. The group’s work comprehends both theatre teaching and theatre production (street theatre performances and workshops, social committed theatre, theatre for children), organization of events (theatre, music and dance), information and net-working (conferences and meetings about artistic and social issues). It is operating internationally, touring all over the world with performances and pedagogical activities.
It aims to create a theatre form, particularly street theatre, that speaks a universal language accessible to all, and that acts as a communication tool of social issues. Recently, its work is even more engaged in the social sphere, using theatre pedagogy for the social inclusion of underrepresented groups (migrants, unemployed people).

Dalla sua fondazione nel 1979, il Teatro Due Mondi conduce una ricerca teatrale costante in particolare sul teatro di strada con l’intento di portare il teatro nei luoghi dove è più necessario: periferie, orfanotrofi, aree socialmente svantaggiate, strade e piazze. Il suo lavoro comprende pedagogia e produzione teatrale (spettacoli di teatro di strada e laboratori, teatro di impegno civile, teatro per bambini), organizzazione di eventi (teatro, musica e danza), informazione e net-working (conferenze su temi artistici e sociali). Opera a livello internazionale, in tournées in tutto il mondo con spettacoli e attività pedagogiche.
Si propone di creare una forma di teatro, soprattutto teatro di strada, che parla un linguaggio universale accessibile a tutti, e che agisce come strumento di comunicazione di temi sociali. Recentemente, il suo lavoro è ancora più impegnato in ambito sociale, e utilizza la pedagogia teatrale per l’inclusione sociale di gruppi sottorappresentati (migranti, disoccupati).
