MUS-E PROJECT
Mus-e (Musique Europe) is an European multicultural project for public primary schools with a strong presence of immigrated children or with hard socio/economic discomfort.
The project shoots for fight inequalities and intolerance among children.
Through artistic paths, Mus-e regards all the cultural differences as a richness and a precious opportunity to teach reciprocal respect. The project in fact aims to encourage socialization and exchange of experience among children, using art and its different expressive forms.
The initiative is a Lord Yehudi Menuhin’ s idea, a famous violinist and director who founded in Brussels, in 1993 the International Yehudi Menuhin Foundation, disseminating in all over Europe the artistic/educative project, called Mus-e.
Nowadays, Mus-e Project is presented in twelve European countries, in Israel and in Italy it involves 14 cities.
Mus-e activities are completely cost less for schools and their pupils and deal about weekly meetings during curricular hours for the whole scholastic year.
The duration of Mus-e activities is foreseen for three years in each class.
The main instruments of work are all the artistic languages such as music, figurative arts, body expression, theatre, mime.
To support the project Mus-e in the national territory are prominent names from the worlds of culture and business. The National Association Mus-e Italy Onlus was chaired until January 2013 by Riccardo Garrone, the current President is Alessandro Garrone and Honorary President Maestro Gianfranco de Bosio, the vice President is Costanza Garrone and the National Coordinator is Rita Costato Costantini.

Mus-e (Musique Europe) è un progetto multiculturale europeo dedicato alle scuole primarie con forte presenza di bambini immigrati o in grave disagio socio-economico culturale.
Il Progetto si propone di contrastare, attraverso percorsi artistici, le disuguaglianze e l’intolleranza tra i più piccoli, individuando nelle differenze culturali una ricchezza e un’occasione preziosa per educare al rispetto reciproco.
Obiettivo di Mus-e è, infatti, quello di promuovere tra i bimbi la relazione, la socializzazione e lo scambio di esperienze, utilizzando uno strumento inconsueto e “delicato” quale è l’arte, nelle sue diverse forme espressive.
L’iniziativa è nata da un’idea di Lord Yehudi Menuhin, celebre violinista e direttore d’orchestra, che nel 1993 ha istituito a Bruxelles la Fondazione che porta il suo nome (la International Yehudi Menhuin Foundation), divulgando in Europa e non solo il progetto artistico-educativo denominato, appunto, Mus-e.
Ad oggi Mus-e è presente in 12 paesi europei e in Israele e in Italia è attivo un 14 città.
Strumenti principali di lavoro e coinvolgimento nei laboratori sono i diversi linguaggi artistici, quali, per esempio, la musica, le arti figurative, l’espressione corporea, il teatro, il mimo.
A sostenere il Progetto Mus-e sul territorio nazionale sono nomi di primo piano del mondo della cultura e dell’imprenditoria.
L’Associazione nazionale Mus-e Italia Onlus è stata presieduta fino al gennaio 2013 da Riccardo Garrone, l’attuale Presidente è il dott. Alessandro Garrone e Presidente Onorario il Maestro Gianfranco de Bosio, la Vice Presidente è Costanza Garrone, Segretario Generale è Lorenza Dellepiane, Coordinatrice Nazionale del Progetto è Rita Costato Costantini.
