AZIONE PRIMO MAGGIO
1 maggio 2018 ore 11.00 – Piazza della Libertà – Faenza
On May 1 at 11.00 in Piazza della Libertà the Teatro Due Mondi participates in the city celebrations for the Workers ‘Day, invited by the citizens’ unions CGIL CISL and UIL, to propose a street action of the theater workshop attended NO BOUNDARIES entitled
ACTION FIRST MAY .
How many Italians have left and leave home to look for work and fortune in another country? And how many today arrive in Europe to look for safety, work and luck? Talking with awareness of the right to “emigrate” that moves millions of people who leave hunger, poverty and war also means remembering the travels of our grandparents, fathers and mothers who left our country. Celebrating May Day is to wish work for those who do not have it and to claim rights and protections for those who work. Work is an indispensable means for achieving happiness and fulfilling dreams, and these are inalienable rights that belong to all citizens of the world, men and women, Italians and migrants.
WITHOUT BOUNDARIES the journey traced in the last years by the TEATRO DUE MONDI in the work with the non-actors on social urgency issues that concern our living as citizens of the world continues. In particular, the TEATRO DUE MONDI meets refugees and asylum seekers to give them a voice and to raise public awareness of the need for integration and social inclusion. The theater is a concrete and incisive way to dialogue with the city on issues of great relevance and is an effective means of communication between and with individuals.
SENZA CONFINI/WITHOUT BORDERS it is a project from the
TEATRO DUE MONDI open to everyone: young and old people with different backgrounds, trades, languages, cultures and opinions.

TEATRO DUE MONDI in Faenza, leader of the project, together with Laboratorio 53 (Rome) and the Farsi Prossimo association (Faenza), won the MigrArti-Mibact 2018 competition, with LA TEMPESTA, a multi-voiced narrative on the migration between theater, dance, music and poetry. The project promotes the creation of a multidisciplinary show involving young immigrants living in Italy who, through a path of artistic laboratory, flanked by actors, dancers and professional artists, will give life to a theatrical action inspired by THE TEMPEST by Shakespeare. The show will be held on June 26 at the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza and then in Rome.
It will be the result of the participatory theater workshop WITHOUT BORDERS conducted in Faenza every Thursday by Alberto Grilli and in Rome by Fernando Battista and Laboratorio53.
